Academic Liaison Librarian

Job Description

The University of Wales Trinity Saint David is looking to recruit a part-time Academic Liaison Librarian at the London campus. The post holder will work two full days (days to be agreed), in order to provide a service throughout the week in conjunction with an existing part-time Academic Liaison Librarian who works three full days. Reporting to the Head of Academic Services, the post holder will provide specialist library support for learning and teaching activities.

As part of the Academic Liaison Librarian Team within the Library and Learning Resources unit, the post holder will focus on the development of specialist, curriculum focused Digital and Information Literacy skills, resource support and support for design, planning, validation, delivery and review of courses and programmes.

The post holder should have excellent interpersonal and team working skills, and the ability to liaise with academic colleagues and work collaboratively across the institution. Evidence of a commitment to and knowledge of contemporary Digital and Information Literacy developments is essential, as is the ability to work strategically to deliver services aligned with the University’s objectives and values.

The post holder will be based in London but could, on occasion, be required to attend meetings at other locations.
