About the Position: 

The mission of Library Services’ is to deliver an outstanding library experience for students and staff through innovative personalised services and state-of-the-art learning spaces, resources and digital infrastructure.

The position of General Manager, Library Customer Services is a senior leadership role within Library Services providing direction and leadership in the design and delivery of innovative services in a collaborative team–based environment. The role develops strategy and evolves services and technologies to meet a complex and changing academic landscape.

As a member of the senior management of Library Services the position contributes to the strategic planning direction and decision making of Library Services and leads the Customer Service team, the Law Library team and Faculty Librarians and Librarians. The position also deputises for the University Librarian as required.

This position presents exciting opportunities for an experienced librarian who is technologically literate and interested in exploring new options for providing outstanding service in an academic library environment.

About the Person: 

Bond University Library is seeking an experienced and motivated professional librarian with excellent customer service, communication and interpersonal skills. Demonstrated leadership and management experience in a higher education services environment is required.

The successful candidate will have the capacity to initiate and lead innovation in frontline services, digital literacy programs and strategic consultation services.

In-depth knowledge of collections, research resources and discovery services is an essential attribute. Knowledge of learning, teaching and research in an academic environment is required as is an understanding of trends related to a rapidly evolving information environment.

The successful candidate will be a dedicated librarian committed to continued professional growth.
