About the IATLIS
The Indian Association of Teachers of Library and Information Science (IATLIS) is a professional association of more than 600 teachers and professionals in Library and Information Science in India. Since its inception in 1969, IATLIS has been active in taking up several issues of LIS Education in India especially relating to the development of curriculum, teaching methods, infrastructure, teacher training, etc. It actively works for the promotion of the professional interests of LIS teachers. As part of its activities, it conducts national seminars and webinars, workshops, and training programmes. It publishes conference proceedings and also an electronic journal “IATLIS Journal of Library Education and Research”. For more details about the association, kindly go to http://www.iatlis.org
About the Department of Library and Information Science, University of Calcutta (DLIS-CU)
Though the Committee was constituted in the year 1943, but the first Diploma in Librarianship Training started in January 1945. The Department is presently under the Faculty of Post-Graduate studies in Journalism, Education and Library & Information Science. At present, the Department runs a two-year Integrated Master’s Course as well as PhD program in library and information science. It publishes a peer-reviewed scholarly journal, named CUJIS (Calcutta University Journal of Information Studies). The Department is now observing its Platinum Jubilee Celebrations.As part of its Platinum Jubilee Celebration, DLIS-CU is organising an international seminar in collaboration with IATLIS.
Call for Papers:
Proposals are invited from IATLIS members, LISteachers, researchers, practitioners, and students on the following theme and sub-themes of the conference. Those interested to submit their papers are required to submit a one-page (250 to 500 word) abstract as an MS-Word mail attachment, and a PPT of their paper latest by 26 October 2021 to iatlis.cu2021@gmail.com

Last Date of Submission of Full Paper: 11 November 2021
