Electronic resource management (ERM) is the practices and techniques used by librarians and library staff to track the selection, acquisition, licensing, access, maintenance, usage, evaluation, retention, and de-selection of a library’s electronic information resources (Wikipedia). Number of proprietary ERM tools is available for the effective management of E-resources, to name few Innovative Interfaces, Serial Solutions, ExLibris etc. CORAL is an open source electronic resource management system built by the University of Notre Dame’s Hesburgh Libraries. It is designed to be both simple and highly customizable – each module can be installed independently or used together depending on your library’s needs.
To demonstrate the basic features of CORAL, Installation and configuration, and various modules. At the end of the seminar, the participants should have a clear understanding of CORAL functionalities.
NCSI-Net members who have practical experience in using CORAL and Infographics tools for managing online resources and reporting the usage of online resources, will serve as resource persons
