Congratulations to you all for sustaining the profession without much resources and availability of Professional Development within the country!
We, as ISLA core team take this day as opportunity to announce that after putting in efforts of many years, IFLA (UN) has come forward to support us in Buliding Strong School Libraries Association in India.
We were never away from you but we wanted to come to you with solutions and answers which as individuals, could never come. We have been working silently, observing and mulling over the problems of our profession.
It’s with much pleasure, it is formally announced that an International workshop will be held by IFLA in collaboration with G. D. Goenka University, Gurgaon from 5-7th October, 2017 at G. D. Goenka education city campus, Sohna- Gurgaon Road Sohna- Haryana, India.
ISLA and this workshop is also being supported by IASL and Singapore National Library. The ISLA core team announces Call for nominations (self or by another professional) to attend this historic event, which would train the potential participants in Leadership and administration of Association for a gigantic country like India.
The select successful participants will be provided with travel and full boarding by IFLA and G D Goenka University without any cost to them.
ISLA core team is looking for committed school library professionals from various segments of schools who will the office bearers of legally formed first ever School Library Association of India.
You have seven days time, 13-19 August to send us nominations.
