Bates seeks a professional with senior-level leadership experience in information technology and library services encompassing strategic planning and guidance, project planning, budgeting and management, and process development, and who has demonstrated experience building community and consensus. Candidates will have at least 10 years in information technology and/or library services management, ability to prioritize projects, demonstrated capacity to assess and develop the talents and expertise of staff, and familiarity with the latest developments in advanced technologies and information systems in higher education. A bachelor’s degree is required, as is evidence of continued scholarship and/or professional accomplishment in librarianship, computer science, information science or a related field.
