Librarian (01)
Upper Age Limit: 56 years
Essential Qualifications:
(i) Master’s Degree in Tibetan Buddhist Studies with Master’s Degree in Library Science/Information Science/Documentation with at least 55% marks or its equivalent grade of B in the UGC Seven Point Scale and consistently good academic record.
(ii) At least 13 years as Deputy Librarian in a University Library or eighteen years’ experience as College Librarian/Assistant University Librarian/Documentation Officer.
OR
Dy. Librarian completing service of three years in AGP of Rs.9000/- and otherwise eligible as per the API scoring system and PBAS methodology developed in UGC Regulations, 2010 and its subsequent amendment with a Ph.D. qualification.
(iii) Evidence of innovative library service and organization of published work and professional commitment.
(iv) Knowledge and/or experience of managing/working in a computerized Library system
(v) A minimum consolidated API score requirement of 300 points from category II & III of APIs as given in table VIII (B) Appendix III of UGC Regulations on minimum qualifications for appointment of teachers and other Academic Staff in Universities and Colleges and Measures for the Maintenance of Standards in Higher Education 2016.
Deputy Librarian (01)
Upper Age Limit: 45 years
Essential Qualifications:
(1) A Master’s Degree in Library Science/Information Science/Documentation with at least 55% marks or its equivalent grade of B in the UGC Seven Point Scale and consistently good academic record.
(2) At least 5 years of experience as Assistant University Librarian/College Librarian/Documentation Officer.
(3) Evidence of innovative library service and organization of published work and professional commitment.
(4) A minimum consolidated API score requirement of 300 points from category II & III of APIs as given in table VIII (B) Appendix III of UGC Regulations on minimum qualifications for appointment of teachers and other Academic Staff in Universities and Colleges and Measures for the Maintenance of Standards in Higher Education 2016.
Assistant Librarian (01)
Upper Age Limit: 40 years
Essential Qualifications:
(1) A Master’s Degree in Library Science/Information Science/Documentation Science or an equivalent professional degree with at least 55% marks or its equivalent grade of ‘B’ in the UGC Seven Point Scale and a consistently good academic record with knowledge of computerization of library.
(2) Qualified in the National Level Test conducted for the purpose by the UGC or any other agency approved by the UGC, New Delhi.
(3) However, candidates, who are, or have been awarded Ph.D. degree in accordance with the UGC (Minimum standard and procedure for award of Ph.D. degree) Regulation 2009, shall be exempted from the requirement of the minimum eligibility condition of NET/SLET/SET for recruitment and appointment of Assistant Librarian/Documentation Officer. Page No. 30 of the regulation, 2010 as amended from time to time.
Professional Asst (01)
Upper Age Limit: 35 years
Essential Qualifications:
(i) A Master’s Degree in Library Science/Library & Information Science/ Documentation with 50% marks. Knowledge of computer application in Library and Information Services.
Semi Professional Assistant (02)
Age Limit: 18-30 years
Essential Qualifications:
(1) Graduate in Arts/Science/Commerce or any other discipline or any other higher qualification with 50% Marks.
(2) B.Lib.Sc./B.Lib.I.Sc. with 50% Marks.
(3) Proficiency in Computer applications.
Semi Professional Assistant (02) Special Tibetan
Age Limit: 18-30 years
Essential Qualifications:
(1) Shastri/M.A. in Tibetan Buddhist Studies with 50% Marks.
(2) B.Lib.Sc./B.Lib.I.Sc. with 50% Marks.
(3) Proficiency in Computer applications.
Senior Library Attendant (01)
Age Limit: 18-30 years
Essential Qualifications:
(i) Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline with certificate course in Library Science (C.Lib.)/C.Lib.I.Sc.) from recognized University/Institution.
(ii) Typing speed of 30 w.p.m. in English or 25 w.p.m. in Hindi or bilingual on computer.
(iii) Proficiency in computer operation, Noting and Drafting.
Library Attendant (01)
Age Limit: 18-30 years
Essential Qualifications:
(i) Passed 12th or equivalent examination from any State Education Board or Govt. recognized Institution.
(ii) Having Certificate in Library Science/Library & Information Science or one years’ working experience in any reputed library of the recognized educational Institute.
