6) 11(eleven) posts of Librarian in Polytechnics of Assam.

Educational Qualification:-
• A Master’s Degree in Library Science/ Information Science/ Documentation Science
or an equivalent professional degree with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade
in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) and a consistently good
academic record with knowledge of computerization of library.
• Qualifying in the national level test conducted for the purpose by the UGC or any
other agency approved by the UGC.
[A relaxation of 5% marks may be provided for the SC/ST/ differently-abled (Physically and visually) categories.]
For Sl. No. 1 (i) to (ix), 2 (i) to (v) & 3(i):
Scale of Pay: Rs. 15600-39100 with AGP of Rs.6000/-
Age : 21 years to 43 years as on 01-01-2017 for all categories of post. The upper age limit is relaxable by 5 (Five) years in case of SC/ST(P)/ST(H) candidates. The upper age limit is relaxable in case of SC, ST and other candidates as per Govt. OM No.ABP.06/2016/04 dated 03.03.2016. There will be no age bar for regular departmental candidates provided they apply through proper channel. Reservation : As per State Govt. existing Rules.
